Inspection costs

At our hospital, we regularly recommend the following tests for medication management and medical care guidance in the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Some patients may need to undergo certain tests during their monthly checkups, so please use this as a guideline for medical expenses. If you have any questions about the necessity of the tests, please ask your doctor or nurse. We will explain everything in detail, and if you are not satisfied with the explanation, we will omit the test.

💡Blood tests💡
With medical insurance, the patient's copayment is approximately 2,500 to 3,000 yen for a 30% copayment and approximately 800 to 1,000 yen for a 10% copayment.

Blood tests measure various components in the blood. Cardiovascular-related tests include measurements of cardiac enzymes, troponin, and BNP (brain natriuretic peptide). Based on these test results, diagnoses such as myocardial infarction or heart failure are made, and the effectiveness of treatment is evaluated. At our clinic, coagulation tests are performed using CoagCheck, allowing for rapid data analysis. However, the cost may vary depending on the specific tests performed.

💡Electrocardiogram (ECG) Test💡
Under medical insurance, the patient's copayment is 390 yen for a 30% copayment plan and 130 yen for a 10% copayment plan.

This test measures the electrical signals of the heart to evaluate heartbeat, rhythm, and arrhythmias. During the test, electrodes are attached to the chest to measure the heart's electrical signals. An ECG is a simple, non-invasive test that is useful for diagnosing and monitoring the progression of cardiovascular diseases in their early stages.

Depending on the condition, symptoms, and medications, this test may be required every time. Please consult your physician or nurse for details.

💡Chest X-ray💡
The patient's copayment under medical insurance is 630 yen for 30% coverage and 210 yen for 10% coverage.

This test is not only used for diagnosing pneumonia, but also for diagnosing and monitoring heart failure-induced cardiac hypertrophy and thoracic aortic aneurysms. It is a test that is regularly required for patients with pacemakers or heart failure.

💡24-hour Holter electrocardiogram test💡
The patient's copayment under medical insurance is 5,250 yen for 30% coverage and 1,750 yen for 10% coverage.

A Holter ECG test is a test that records an ECG for more than 24 hours. Patients wear a portable ECG monitor while going about their daily lives to record their ECG. This test allows us to evaluate the extent of abnormalities such as arrhythmias or ventricular premature contractions.

💡Cardiac ultrasound (echo) test💡
The patient's copayment under medical insurance is 2,640 yen for 30% coverage and 880 yen for 10% coverage.

This test uses ultrasound to examine the function of the heart, the structure inside the heart, abnormalities in the valves, and abnormalities in the aorta, pulmonary artery, and other blood vessels. In cases where the condition is severe and treatment is necessary, further testing may be required, making this an essential test for cardiovascular diseases. At our hospital, we utilize cardiac echocardiography to focus on prevention.

💡Carotid artery ultrasound (echo) examination💡
The patient's copayment under health insurance is 1,050 yen for 30% coverage and 350 yen for 10% coverage.

The carotid artery is the blood vessel that supplies blood to the brain. By examining the presence of atherosclerosis in the carotid artery, the degree of vascular blockage, and the condition of plaque, we can determine the risk of myocardial infarction or cerebral infarction.

💡Exercise stress electrocardiogram test💡
The patient's copayment under health insurance is 1,140 yen for 30% coverage and 380 yen for 10% coverage.

This test involves placing stress on the heart through exercise while recording an electrocardiogram and comparing it to the resting state. It can diagnose arrhythmias or ischemic heart diseases such as angina that are difficult to detect in the resting state, and also evaluates exercise tolerance.

💡Exercise stress echocardiogram💡
The patient's copayment is approximately 6,000 yen for 30% coverage and approximately 2,000 yen for 10% coverage under health insurance.

This test involves placing stress on the heart through exercise and comparing it to resting conditions. It is performed to evaluate heart function by comparing the movement of the heart and blood flow during exercise and at rest, as well as to assess ischemic heart diseases such as angina.

💡Cardio-Pulmonary Exercise Test (CPX)💡
The patient's copayment is approximately 6,300 yen for 30% coverage and approximately 2,100 yen for 10% coverage under health insurance.

This test is necessary for evaluating cardiopulmonary function and managing heart disease. Patients undergoing cardiac rehabilitation will undergo this test regularly. We also accept requests for this test alone from other hospitals, so please consult your primary care physician before contacting us.

💡Blood Pressure Pulse Wave Test (ABI)💡
The patient's copayment under medical insurance is 390 yen for 30% coverage and 130 yen for 10% coverage.

This test is used to assess blockages in the arteries of the legs (peripheral artery disease: PAD). It helps detect early signs of complications such as cardiovascular disease or cerebrovascular disease when there is hardening or blockage in the peripheral arteries (arteries in the legs or hands).
